Benefits/HRIS Specialist

Responsible for organizing and planning the day-to-day operations of the group benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, accident plan, flexible spending plan, Leave of Absence plan, and the 403(b) and 457 plans. Investigates new benefits programs, improve existing programs, and supervise and monitor administration of the benefits plans. In addition, will provide analytical and technical support in the delivery of the benefits programs. Provides support to all other positions within the HR department and benefits and knowledge to the entire employee population.

• Bachelor's degree in related field required. Unless 10 years of commensurate experience is shown in lieu thereof.
• 3-5 years related benefits or employee benefit administration and or 10 years of HR experience required.
• PHR and/or CEBS professional designation strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate superior inter personal communication and relationship building skills are required.
• Project and team management/leadership skills, analytical skills and knowledge of HR concepts required.
• Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending which affect employee benefits programs is required. This includes HIPAA, ACA, ADEA, GINA, PDA, USERRA, MHPAEA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Worker's Compensation, MSP, Social Security and 403B requirements.
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs required.
