Education: HS Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Position Details
Director of Plant Operations/Engineering, Full-Time, 40 hrs/week, Days.

Exempt, Salaried, Non-Bargaining, Benefited Position.

Position Summary

To plan, organize, supervise, coordinate and control the activities of the Plant Operations and Maintenance functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utilities and grounds of this hospital in an operative and safe working condition. The Director of Plant Operations/Engineering shall be accountable to the Chief Financial Officer for planning and maintaining an effective organization, for administering labor and material controls for training of maintenance personnel in safety and for effective management practices. The Director of Plant Operations/Engineering is responsible and acts as the Safety Officer.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or combination of education and experience preferred.
• 5 or more years of previous experience in all aspects of Healthcare Facilities Management preferred.
• 3 or more years of prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DNV/NIAHO certification and OSHA regulations preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and State regulations for acute care facilities required.
